From a first hire to an entire department, here's how North American companies are building their teams in Colombia with TripleZ.
Figures from TripleZ placement records, October 2026.
How one Project Coordinator grew into a nearshore finance team that helped five partners get acquired 2.5 years ahead of plan.
Five partners were running the firm themselves: managing clients, delivering software implementations and handling the day-to-day operations and admin work. With their time tied up in client work, there was little left to grow the firm through marketing and business development. That mattered, because their goal was to be acquired, and a strong growth engine was key to being ready for a transaction.
TripleZ started with a Project Coordinator who took specific work off the founder's plate, including building a CRM, running a LinkedIn strategy, developing case studies and capturing CSAT scores. From there, TripleZ built a team of finance consultants in Colombia, which gave the firm much stronger margins on its implementations and made it a more attractive acquisition target.
The firm was acquired 2.5 years ahead of plan. Margins were strong, and the partners were able to spend more of their time on business development. The team kept growing every year in new cohorts, and today the Colombia team outnumbers the US team.
